Man and Dragon

Man and Dragon

While sitting in Steep & Brew one day I was reminded of a Keith Parkinson “interview” (or perhaps “personal statement”), in which he recounted how what he does is make the mundane fantastic and the fantastic mundane. From that grew a small pencil sketch in which not a horse but a dragon of sorts stood next to my hat- and glasses-wearing weekend cowboy. I forgot about the rough sketch for a few years, until I was flipping through a pile of old pencil doodles, found this one, and decided to ink it a bit. Black rollerball on 9”x12” drawing paper.
