Long Fingers
Another vaguely triangular composition resulted in this grotesqerie. The original sketch called for wings rather than (or in addition to) arms, but the limited size of the paper necessitated compositional changes. I have been fascinated by elongated limbs and digits ever since my first visit to the Fine Arts Museum in Budapest, which features a wall of El Greco paintings.
