Blast From the Past #1
When I first got my scanner (years and years ago ... 1998?) I did not have access to a bunch of server-side scripting languages to help me put together my digital photo albums. Instead, I relied on simple <meta> tags and REFRESH so I could create a simple slide-show. I was going through some old directories on my server and found the photos and pages I used for one such slide-show, and decided to adapt it a bit for PHP.
I had to stick in a photo from the end of elementary school. In 1986 the 6th grade classes put together a production of Oliver! I was one of the narrators (I didn't want to sing, so by being the narrator, I got out of several of the numbers). The other people in the picture include: Jon Vance (the chubby guy in front); David Dean (blond guy behind Jon); Mrs. Haine (she got a lot of underwear joke ... hey, we were in elementary school); me; and Daniel Dean (David’s twin brother).
